Wildcatter Beta v0.3 is complete, and now includes Excel integration!

Here is a screenshot showing Excel integration with financial statements.  Clicking on the excel icon in the simulation will automatically start Excel and export the data to worksheets.  Exporting project cash flows allows for detailed DCF analysis.

There is a new video coming soon that demonstrates Excel integration.

First post!

Welcome to the Wildcatter Simulation blog!  Wildcatter is a finance simulation modeling the upstream energy industry, one of the most capital intensive sectors in business.  In Wildcatter you become the CEO of an upstream energy firm, and must find, develop and produce oil and gas in a randomly generated world.  Watch out for weather, sandstorms, and your competitors!  The Wildcatter Simulation incorporates accounting, corporate finance,  and economics concepts to create a realistic user experience.  Raise capital, sell bonds, and watch your firm's market capitalization grow.

Wildcatter is currently in a fully playable beta phase, and is available for demonstration to interested parties.  This blog will have entries about Wildcatter Simulation and its continued development.
